People Like Us create at our on pace
People lLke US
New People Like Us is a slow art and creative wellness program that uses accessible, nature-inspired art practices to support mental well-being, stress reduction, and community connection. Through calm, guided art sessions rooted in presence and process, participants are invited to slow down, create without pressure, and reconnect with themselves in a supportive environment.
How To Art Slow
Slow art is a practice of presence.
In these sessions, we move gently—allowing hands, breath, and materials to guide the process. There is no rushing, no fixing, and no right way to create.
We work with fiber, paper, and accessible materials inspired by nature and seasonal rhythms, creating space for reflection, rest, and quiet joy.
Who benefits from slow art
Slow art supports people navigating stress, burnout, grief, transition, or creative disconnection.
This space is for those who need permission to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and create without pressure to perform or explain.
No experience is required. You are welcome exactly as you are.
How to connect and build slow art togather
People Like Us partners with libraries, community spaces, wellness organizations, studios, and creative venues to offer accessible creative wellness experiences.
Workshops can be offered as one-time sessions, multi-week series, pop-ups, or grant-funded community programs.
Each collaboration is shaped to serve the needs of the people it’s offered to.
